Bear's Afternoon

While the train laid over in Denver, Kuma Bear explored haunts familiar to him from last year's Worldcon.

Here is Kuma at the feet of the Big Blue Bear in front of the Colorado Convention Center. Notice that he's wearing his Denvention 3 t-shirt in honor of the occasion.

Kevin holds Kuma Bear and assures him that the Big Bear won't hurt him.

Returning to Union Station, Bear finds that they were thinking of him.

Then it was back to the train for the another night in the sleeper. Kuma says, "Night-night!"

Very cool picture of Kuma and the big bear in front of the Denver Convention Center. I didn't know that you were able to stay in Denver that long.

Normally we would not have been able to stay that long; however, the train was diverted to the northern route, and also didn't make any intermediate stops, and therefore it arrived about three hours ahead of schedule. The regular route through the former D&RG RR is slower.

Had we not had our dinner included in the ticket, we would have gone to one of the many restaurants on 16th Street for dinner. Many of the coach passengers did exactly that.
